Seasoned Events flies high at the Farnborough Airshow!

Seasoned Events has been the Official Caterer for the 18 years at Farnborough International Airshow. As one of the largest temporary exhibitions in the world, Farnborough Airshow 2008 was the biggest yet for the team.

Seasoned Events catered for over 25,000 guests over a 7 day period who were looked after by a team of more than 400 hospitality professionals working out of 8 fully operational temporary kitchens. We served over 50 Heads of State, Royalty and members of international government and one of our hospitality chalets, signed the largest
ever deal at the Farnborough Airshow, in the presence of the Saudi Royal Family.

Seasoned Events provided catering for the Exhibitors Club Restaurant, Public Food Halls, Stands and Private Chalets. In excess of 500 kg of beef, 500 kg of lamb and 1500 kg of fish were consumed during the week, as well as 15,000 rashers of bacon, 8000 sausages, 18,000 eggs and 250 Gallons of Milk!

But it didn’t stop there! More than 3,500 bottles of wine and champagne, 15,000 litres of mineral water, 8,000 bottles of beer and 800 jugs of Pimms were consumed.

As part of their sustainability policy, Seasoned Events ensured that we recycled over 2 tonnes of bottles and cans.

An estimated total of at least 15,500 hours of hard work was completed by 272 staff recruited via Jobs2Go who received many compliments throughout the week.

When asked by a well known venue manager, “how do you do it?” Colin Sayers, Operations Director responded “logistics, timing and a lot of hard work!”
